During the Covid pandemic, the artist Ton Ton experienced a spiritual rebirth- “Sangkap” or ingredients as translated in the English language depicts the elements which drove his creative rebirth during this period - the isolation, Covid anxiety, and his focus on art- which made him win this year’s prestigious Metrobank Art award. Sangkap is his ode to that award.
